Description

Devices in the system are using the Crestron Driver: Remove all devices that use the driver from the Crestron Home system and then navigate to Pair Devices Third Party, wait for the Crestron Home processor to update the list of Crestron Drivers, and then add the device to the system. For details, refer to Update Crestron Drivers. The Crestron® CLX-2DIMFLV8 is an eight-channel, two-feed dimmer module designed for 120V lighting system applications. It installs in a CAEN or CAEN-MLO enclosure and provides control of 0-10 Volt dimmable fluorescent ballasts and LED drivers.

These drivers allow a Crestron system to control a PRO or MX-POH series Wyrestorm video matrix, using TCP/IP. Ethernet control means no need to use up valuable I/O ports on your Crestron processor and no more unreliable infrared emitters cluttering up the rack. Fast and reliable switching of inputs and outputs improves the user experience and robust feedback of the current configuration makes for accurate, tidy programming and guaranteed synchronisation between systems. Simple but effective drivers, designed to make the installer’s life easier.

Additionally, the MX-POH driver supports routing one-way RS232 commands to the serial port on a Wyrestorm extender, effectively expanding the I/O capabilities of the Crestron system.

How does it work?

The Crestron processor communicates with the Wyrestorm matrix over the network. Very little configuration is required. The following features are supported:

Control via TCP/IP.
Fast, accurate switching.
Feedback of current status.
Routable RS232 control.

Hi All,
I'm looking into using IP to control the Roku platform, and for those who like it, here are some questions:
1. Which Module(s) in the files section do you recommend? Or is there another one better?
2. I would only use the ULTRA or the ULTRA LT (because of the ethernet connection). Any difference in capability/reliability of IP control for these?
3. Other than needing DHCP reservations, any other reliability or feature issues with this control??

I used: Roku 3 Series Release v1.1.zip
but I found I needed to add OSC to nav keys within the module, press down cmd just did not work reliably

I agree with TRoberts, add an OSC to the d pad buttons for navigation

I've used that module for years, works with TCL tv's too. I did need to edit the commands a bit to add TV functions like Input, ch and volume which work well on the TV's. I use CEC for power though.

I have been using the Crestron Certified driver. I haven't had any issues with it. Doesn't have the direct channel call, but I have heard of people using a mix of the 2 approaches

I use a combination of the CCD, which works surprisingly well for all the basic functions, with one of the 'Roku 3 Series' modules from the Group's Files section. The latter is only for the direct channel commands and icons.

I also use the combination of the Crestron Certified driver and the 'Roku 3 Series' from the files section. I just use the files section driver for app selection. Everything else I do with the Crestron driver.

1. To TRoberts and rpc78 - I'm not sure that I understand using an OSC for basic control of the NAV commands, could you explain? OR is this just to get a P+H function to automatically keep scrolling with one P+H??

Yes, the osc is to get a press and hold to keep sending the command for better scrolling.

I'm using the 'Crestron Certified Drivers VideoServer Ethernet 1.0 (cm)'. I originally tried several of the modules in the files section and found the Crestron driver to be much faster and more reliable. I just use the files section driver for app selection since that wasn't available in the Crestron driver.

I just saw that there are CCD drivers in the Crestron SMW Library; however the version is v1.2 now. It has (10) custom commands with 'Exists' FB and Name Text.
1. Anyone used this successfully?
2. Has anyone found that the Custom commands work for the Favorites? (It would be nice not to have to use two modules...)

for the PKG file. Extract it to get the 2 files to store on the processor.
and the CCD module is in the Simpl database. Define the IP and where to look for the files with a SIO and pulse the connect.
